I have jason's kodiak jet boat. jason built it for me in 2004, so i have about 6 years of experience with it now. the motor is a yamaha f40, which is a 40hp head and delivers 30hp equivalent through the jet. according to my hand held gps, the boat runs about 20mph into the current in the muskegon river here in west michigan.. Equally at home in whitewater rivers, fishing on lakes and bays, or towing skiers, our jet setter whitewater sled plans come in either a "windshield version" with hinged center section, bow cockpit, or raised casting deck; or as a "center console" with raised casting deck forward.. Going to build an 18 foot flat bottom jet sled for michigan rivers. it will be powered with an etec 115hp jet. that will give me about 80hp at the pump. couldn't find the plans that i wanted so i decided to make up my own. took a few prototypes until i found something i liked. the model is 1/1.
